Katie
Katie is a little "special needs" Yorkie. She suffers from seizures. When she was adopted, she was put on medication. The number and frequency of her seizures has been greatly reduced but not eliminated.
Her new mom and dad, a retired couple, say: "She is a very brave and courageous little girl. She takes her medicine twice a day without a fuss and seems to know that she really needs it. In spite of her condition, Katie is very sweet and thrives on attention. A few cheese snacks, followed by a nice belly rub, and she's in doggy heaven. She has been a blessing and a joy, and we are just happy that we have had the chance to give her the love and attention she needs."

Cards are 5"x 7", high quality card stock, professionally printed, blank inside for your own personal note or greeting. On the back of each card is a story or poem relating to the animal. There are 12 designs total, 6 dogs and 6 cats, all animals that have been adopted from Roice-Hurst. All proceeds from the sale of these cards go towards the care of our precious homeless animals until they find their own forever homes.

The Labrador Retriever is one of America's favorite breeds. They are loyal, loving, and affectionate. They are also very intelligent and eager to please. They don't normally make good watch dogs, however. They may bark at a stranger, but usually this is just their way of expressing joy and happiness at the chance of meeting someone new.
